Dr. Lisa Takes has been a valued member of the Starch Pet Hospital & University West Pet Clinic team since February 1993. She earned her degree from the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. With a special interest in the care of small pocket pets and rabbits, Dr. Takes also contributes her expertise as part of our orthopedic team. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending quality time with her son, Jonny, as well as gardening, antique shopping, and staying active at the gym. At home, Dr. Takes and her family share their lives with three beloved cats: Mcmuffin, Betty Boop, and Floofster.
